We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to join our team and lead the development of engaging web experiences: from browser-based mini-games and interactive animations to leaderboards and recurring in-product events. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Frontend and Backend Engineers, and QA specialists to deliver high-quality features that reach millions of users. As we continue to scale, you’ll take ownership of engineering delivery, team growth, and execution, helping create a strong and efficient engineering culture.
📍 What to Do
People Management
- Manage, mentor, and develop engineers through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and growth plans
- Foster a healthy engineering culture focused on collaboration and continuous improvement
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and scaling the team
- Resolve conflicts and support engineers in achieving their professional goals
Technical Leadership
- Lead a cross-functional engineering team, ensuring predictable and high-quality delivery, planning, execution, and release coordination
- Partner with Product Manager on roadmap planning, estimations, prioritization, and capacity planning
- Stay hands-on by contributing to the codebase when needed
- Ensure engineering quality through reviews and technical alignment with functional tech leads
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including planning, refinement, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
- Coordinate engineering efforts from feature discovery through production release
- Communicate delivery risks, timelines, and progress to stakeholders
🦸 Your Superpowers
- Experience leading cross-functional product or engineering teams building B2C web products
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript, Vue.js, Nuxt, and cloud-based architectures (Cloudflare experience is a plus)
- Experience building interactive web applications, browser games, animations, or other highly dynamic frontend experiences
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and modern software delivery practices
- Experience leading teams of 5+ engineers, including hiring, mentoring, performance reviews, career development, and conflict resolution
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers and balance business and technical priorities
- Understanding of software architecture, application design, APIs, databases, and engineering best practices
- Successfully managing end-to-end product delivery, from planning to execution
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Upper-Intermediate or higher English
